Airborne COVID Virus Sampling

​Acro Technologies, Inc. (ATI) now offers airborne virus sampling and analysis, (SARS‐CoV‐2) in order to measure potential exposure to airborne viruses. The sampling technique utilizes a calibrated sampling pump and media to obtain the sample and is then analyzed via Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) analysis. PCR is based on amplifying genetic material (RNA or DNA) from organisms via enzymatic reactions. Since the introduction of PCR technology in the mid‐1980s, this technology is the basis for many significant developments in medicine and biochemistry including genome sequencing, drug and vaccine development and detection of biological materials. It is the most sensitive method for the detection of COVID‐19 virus (SARS‐CoV‐2) in clinical tests and it is also the method of choice for environmental samples including surface, air and wastewater.
